Club Connect — neighborhood women's club member app

Club Connect is a private member app for a neighborhood women's club. It is used to share club notices, event invitations and RSVPs, volunteer signups, member polls, and event photos, and — for members who choose it — club notifications by SMS text message. This policy describes what information the app collects, how it is used, and the choices members have.

Information we collect

  • Account and profile information you provide: name, email address, and (optionally) the mobile phone number you add to your profile.

  • Club activity you submit in the app: RSVPs, volunteer signups, poll responses, feedback, and photos you choose to share.

  • Notification preferences, including whether you have turned on SMS text notifications.

How we use information

  • To operate club features: showing notices, collecting RSVPs and headcounts, organizing volunteer slots, running polls, and sharing event photos with other members.

  • To send club notifications. In-app and push notifications are standard; SMS text notifications are sent only to members who have opted in by turning on the SMS toggle in their own profile.

  • To administer the club roster and keep member information current.

SMS consent and mobile information

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Phone numbers collected for SMS consent are used solely to deliver the club notifications described above. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third party.

SMS notifications are strictly opt-in: the SMS toggle in the app is off by default, and only members who switch it on receive texts. You can opt out at any time by turning the toggle off or by replying STOP to any message. Reply HELP for help. Message and data rates may apply.

Sharing

We do not sell or rent member information. Information is shared only with the service providers needed to run the app — our database/hosting provider (Supabase) and our SMS delivery provider (Twilio) — and only to provide those services. Club content (notices, RSVPs, photos, polls) is visible to other club members inside the app as part of normal club activity.

Data retention and security

Member information is kept while you are a club member and removed or anonymized when no longer needed. Access to member data is restricted to club administrators, and the app's database enforces member-level access controls.

Your choices

  • Turn SMS notifications on or off at any time in your profile.

  • Reply STOP to any text to stop SMS messages immediately.

  • Ask a club administrator to correct or delete your information.

Children

Club Connect is intended for adult club members and is not directed to children under 13.
